Humaid Mohamed Al Qutami, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Federal Government Human Resources, on Wednesday issued a circular announcing that the federal ministries and public offices will remain closed from October 25 (Thursday) to October 28 (Sunday) for Eid Al Adha holidays.
Work in the government offices will resume on Monday.
Al Qutami congratulated UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, their Highnesses Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, and also praying to God Almighty to bless them with good health and wellness. He also congratulated the people of the UAE and other Islamic nations on this happy occasion.
Decision about the private sector holidays is expected later from Minister of Labour Saqr Ghobash. Sources told Emirates 24l7 earlier that the private sector will get 3-day holidays from Thursday to Saturday and will resume work on Sunday.
